License plates were invented before the automobile and were first used in Massachusetts in 1903. By 1918, most states adopted a form of license plates made from leather, porcelain, rubber, or iron. This 31 inch long puzzle contains 1,000 die cut pieces, every state (except for Alaska and Hawaii) is represented. Richly colored license plates and local flavors from each state are featured.
